| I have the BEST friends in the world!!! Thanks to all of you who were with me this weekend. You're awesome! I love you so much!!
That's all for now.......
| Not that anybody really cares, but my birthday is in 4 days! I'm gonna be a quarter of a century old (or halfway to 50 - whichever). After that, I think I'm going to stop having birthdays. Well, maybe I'll still celebrate (because we all know that my birthday celebrations are THE co-greatest events of the year - right Toni?) but I'm not going to get any older. I think that 25 is a great age - you're finally able to do anything that normal (or not-so-normal) adults do, like renting a car for example. That's the one thing I've been waiting to do since I turned 21 and inherited the right to.........gamble (ha! bet you thought I was gonna say something else). Not that I need to rent a car or anything since I just bought a brand new one, but it's nice to know that I could.
I still can't figure out the logic behind the "legal age" in America. Someone please explain the following:
- The judicial system holds you accountable as an adult at age 17
- You can serve in the military, vote or buy cigarettes at age 18, but....
- You can't buy alcohol or gamble until age 21 and
- You can't rent a car until you are 25
What's so different about all of those things that you can't do them all at the same time (say, age 22 or whatever)? Does the government think young people can only handle so much responsibility at one time, so they are "protecting us" with gradual "incentives," if that's what you call it? It just doesn't make sense to me that they trust a person to decide who our nation's leaders should be before they can decide between a margarita and a Corona. (Heck, with all of the crappy politicians running for office nowadays, it would probably be beneficial to have a margarita or a Corona before deciding who to vote for! - just kidding, I really don't recommend that )

| Top 3 Things That Happened Today:
- The Houston Texans finally won a game (not by much, but hey! they won)
- Had amazing fajitas, chips, & queso for lunch with my "pretend family" (the Harps)
- Bought season tickets to next year's Dallas Summer Musicals
3 Bad Things That Happened Today:
- The message at church made me feel convicted (it was about money and not being materialistic - and we went shopping yesterday and I spent a lot of money)
- I inherited an insanely large headache that is making it difficult to focus
- The Eagles are getting their butts whipped by Denver (this butt-kicking is not over at this moment; however, I am sincerely hoping that it ends soon)
And those are the highlights of my Sunday - exciting huh? I think so! Happy Halloween everyone!

| THE ASTROS ARE IN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!
Okay, I'm a tad bit excited - obviously. I hope everyone will tune in starting Saturday to watch them put a spanking on Chicago. If you don't, you stink.
| To Matt & Nicholas:
I just wanted to let you both know that I was right. The Astros did NOT lose in 4 straight games to the Cardinals last year. Milo Hamilton confirmed this last night. He said that neither team lost at home during their series last year. That means that the Cardinals won the series 4-3, just like I thought. I think the Cards did end up losing in 4 straight games to Boston though. Maybe. Anyway, wanted to rub it in! (kidding)
